Why convert an EPUB to PDF?

EPUB is built for reading on a screen, but it's awkward the moment you want to print a book, annotate it on paper, or send it to someone who doesn't use an e-reader app. PDF has fixed pages that look identical everywhere, which is exactly what those jobs need.

How it works

  1. Drop in a standard, DRM-free EPUB.
  2. Each chapter is rendered with its own styling and images intact.
  3. Chapters are sliced into Letter-sized pages, always starting fresh.
  4. Download the finished PDF.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the output text selectable?

No. Each page is rendered as a high-resolution image, similar to a scan, so the PDF looks like the original book but its text isn't selectable, searchable, or copyable. This is a necessary trade-off for a tool that runs entirely in your browser without a server-side rendering engine.

Will formatting and images be preserved?

Yes — chapter CSS and embedded images are read and rendered along with the text, so styled text, fonts, and images generally carry over. Very complex or unusual EPUB layouts may not render perfectly.

How are pages split?

Each chapter is rendered in full, then sliced into Letter-sized pages (8.5×11in) from top to bottom. Chapters always start on a fresh page.

Does it work with DRM-protected EPUBs?

No. DRM-protected files are encrypted and can't be read without the corresponding license — this tool only works with standard, unprotected EPUB files.

Why convert an EPUB to PDF?

PDF prints predictably and opens on any device without an e-reader app, which makes it the better format for printing a book, marking it up, or sharing with someone who doesn't use EPUB.

What's the trade-off versus keeping the EPUB?

EPUB reflows to fit any screen and keeps text searchable; PDF has fixed pages that look identical everywhere. Convert when you need fixed layout or printing, and keep the EPUB for reading on a phone or e-reader.

How long does a full-length book take?

Every page is rendered individually, so a long book takes noticeably longer than a short one — typically under a minute on a modern laptop, longer on an older phone. Progress is shown as it works.

Does it work with MOBI, AZW or KFX files?

No, only standard EPUB. Amazon's formats use a different container and are frequently DRM-protected. Convert them to EPUB first with a dedicated e-book tool.

Can I choose a different page size?

Output is Letter-sized (8.5×11in), which prints correctly on both Letter and A4 paper with a small margin difference.

Is my EPUB uploaded anywhere?

No. Parsing, rendering, and PDF assembly all happen locally in your browser using JavaScript. Nothing is sent to a server.
